The Sixth China Auto International Exhibition Tour was successfully held in Algeria and Egypt from November 27^th to December 7^th 2008. The Chinese automotive team, including 29 automobiles of Chinese independent brands from 13 famous automotive enterprises, held exhibitions in Oran and Algiers and exhibition tours in Oran, Algiers, Constantine and Annaba.

No matter where the automotive team reached, it received great attention and high participation from local dealers, news media and people there. The exhibition tour team, accompanied by more than 50 delegates of organizing committee, supporting organizations and automotive enterprises, traveled for more than 1300 kilometers and succeeded in making the Chinese independent brand automobiles public.

The exhibition tour was fruitful. Shaanxi Automobile Group, Changhe Motors, Chana Corporation and some other Chinese independent brands enterprises signed automobile sales and joint venture factory establishment agreements with Algerian enterprises.

The Sixth China Auto International Exhibition Tour held press conference and opening ceremony in Oran, Algeria on December 1^st, 2008. Mr. Zhang Xiaoyu, Vice Chairman of China Machinery Industry Federation, Mr. Yang Xiaodong, Director of Media and Press Center of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Mr. Fendi, Chairman of Algerian Automotive Federation, Mr. Bendris, Delegate from Industrial Bureau of Oran, as well as delegates of Chinese independent brand automotive enterprises and auto parts and accessories enterprises, including FAW, Shannxi Automobile, Xiamen King Long, Zhongtong Bus, Hafei Motor, Chongqing Chana, Hunan Changfeng, Beiqi Foton, Dandong Huanghai, Changhe Motors, JMC, Dongfeng Chaoyang Diesel, Dongying Xinyi, etc. attended the press conference and opening ceremony.

The delegates of the Chinese independent brand automotive enterprises not only made their products public, but also expressed thanks to the organizers due to the opportunities to communicate with the foreign customers face to face and get valuable firsthand information abroad.

The exhibition tour team reached Algiers, capital of Algeria on December 3^rd, 2008. With the support and attendance of local government and Chinese Embassy in Algeria, the exhibition tour delegation held China-Algeria Auto International Economic and Trade Seminar. More than 40 delegates from automobile sales distributors, 20 delegates of agents, 20 media reporters from TV, broadcast, newspaper and network all attended the seminar.

During the seminar, Shaanxi Automobile signed sales agreement of 3200 trucks for the first half of the year of 2009 with EURL GM Trade Company. 500 automobiles would be delivered to the Algerian side before the end of December of 2008. The other 2700 automobiles would be delivered to Algeria before June, 2009. Changhe Motors signed letter of intent with FENDI Company to invest in Algeria to establish factories. What’s more, Dandong Huanghai, Chana, Xiamen King Long all signed overseas sales agreements with local distributors for the year of 2009.
